The working principle of radial riveting machine is as follows: the motor transmits the motion to the spindle through the coupling, and the spindle transmits the motion to the spherical motion pair through the planetary mechanism with less tooth difference. At the same time, the hydraulic system drives the piston and the spherical motion pair to exert downward pressure. When the rivet head touches the rivet, the rivet head rolls the rivet without sliding around the rivet center line (that is, the spindle center line) according to the 11-petal quincunx motion trajectory, thus completing the riveting work.

The working principle of the rotary riveting machine is: the motor transmits the motion to the spindle through the coupling, and at the same time, the hydraulic system drives the piston and the spindle to exert downward pressure. When the riveting head touches the rivet, it revolves around the center line of the rivet (that is, the center line of the spindle), and at the same time, the riveting head rotates under the action of tangential force, thus forming non-slip rolling.
